Stetson Thacker is a young, aspiring writer. He attends Denison University in Granville, Ohio on a full tuition scholarship, where he majors in both English and biology. He intends to matriculate into medical school while continuing his work in composition. Ultimately, he has expressed a desire to have a similar career paths as great authors and doctors like Atul Gawande and Michael Crichton.

Stetson is a published poet. His book, entitled Poetic Pondering: A Transcendental Odyssey, was published during his junior year of high school and is available for sale on Amazon.com. Although he has been a writer all of his life, Stetson truly developed his writing abilities during his high school career, which is evidenced in the numerous national and local scholarships he garnered during his senior year. Stetson is a National Coca-Cola Scholar, a National Got Milk? Scholar-Athlete, a recipient of the National Society of High School Scholars Scholarship, a recipient of the National Principal's Leadership Award Scholarship, and the National Cargill Community Scholarship.

Stetson's success has continued into college, where he has made the Dean's List both of his first three semesters at Denison University. He is an elected representative of the student body in the Denison Campus Governance Association, an executive board member of Denison's Habitat for Humanity, the treasurer for Denison's Sustained Dialogue, a tour guide for the college, a resident assistant, a student tutor, and a member of the fraternity Beta Theta Pi.

Stetson fills his leisure time by reading, playing sports, working out, writing, discussing philosophy, and volunteering. He possesses a voracious, inquisitive mind that endeavors upon improving the world and inspiring others to do the same.

Stetson has recently completed a research internship at the Cleveland Clinic, where he researched the spine and concussions in an orthopedics lab. He has also recently received a first author publication in Fertility and Sterility, a scientific journal on reproductive medicine, from a previous research internship at the Cleveland Clinic.
